What a Princess

Taylor is so much fun to play with. She loves being thrown on the Love Sac, when Daddy stops she starts to cry. It is so cute, when she is having fun doing something she doesn't like to stop. (She is a lot like Whit!) Her little laugh and smile are so precious.

She is growing up so fast. She loves to push this little toy around. She can walk pretty good as long as she has something to hold onto, otherwise she crawls all over.

I couldn't resist?!

Whit loves to wear his Spiderman and Incredibles Costumes all the time, but one day I got out of the shower to find Whit in this...

I just couldn't resist telling him to pose for me. Jake couldn't believe I took a picture of Whit "dressing up" but I am pretty sure I have seen a picture of him in a tutu before if only I had it! Like father like son right?!!

Happy Halloween in December

I am just a little late to finally get this up, but here was our Halloween Fun!
The kids were so cute. Whit loved his Spiderman costume and still asks to wear it all the time. Taylor made the sweetest Little Ladybug I have ever seen. The Tutu was so cute I had to take a picture of her in just that! Whit still talks about Halloween all the time and is always asking what we are going to be next Halloween. I think it might be his favorite Holiday, but we'll see Christmas is starting to get really exciting too!
We went to our Ward Trunk or Treat Party without Dad because he was out of town for an ADEA Conference, but we were glad to have him back to go Trick or treating with us on Halloween.

Disney on Ice

We got to go see Disney on Ice. Whit had so much fun. I let him wear his Incredibles costume, he was so excited! When we got there I was a little worried because the lights were off and the music was really loud. He was holding onto me with a death grip and was really scared, but as soon as we found our seats and he saw Nemo it got better. He really loved Mickey Mouse, Woody and Buzz and the Incredibles, but his favorite part was Pinnochio (even though he was scared when the whale came out). He still talks about it, "Remember when the Whale swallowed 'Nochio'." He is so funny when he talks about it.

Yay!!!!

Wow, it has been too long! My computer was broken for sooo long but we finally got a new one. Hopefully now I can get you all caught up on what has been going on for the last few months. It might just have to be a few long nights... But here are a few to enjoy for now!

Another Campout

While the weather was still warm over Labor Day weekend we were able to go camping with some friends. The kids loved it even though none of us really slept too well!

We went camping at Lake Anna, and we spent a little bit of time on the beach.

Did a little bit of hiking or maybe you could call it a nature walk.
The kids really loved playing in the tent. That was a good thing because the campsites are full of pebbles and I didn't want Taylor crawling around putting them in her mouth.

But it sure was nice to get back to our own beds. I love story time... as long as Jake is home to join us, it just goes so much smoother.

Twins...?

I am pretty sure they are 2 years apart, but they look like twins to me! They were watching Baby Einsteins and looked so cute so I thought I would take a picture. They both turned and looked at me with the exact same expression. I love it.

Taylor loves her Big Brother so much, she has to show a little affection...
And Whit instinctively grabs her leg.

But of course she loves him anyway.

Usually it is the other way around, Whit is the one grabbing and wrestling her to the floor!

Taylor's Milestones

Taylor is so much fun. I really love her age right now. She is getting to be very active and so much fun to play with.

July 20- Taylor rolls and scoots just about anywhere she wants to go.

July 24 - Taylor is getting up on her hands and knees now and rocks back and forth.

August 8- Yay, Taylor can sit up. It makes her so happy to be able to sit. I love her pretty smile.

August 19- Learning to crawl.

School Time?

I think Whit is going to be excited when he is old enough to go to school. Probably because he sees Jake go to school everyday. It is so adorable. He packs his "packpack" (that's how he says it), puts it on, gives us all hugs and kisses and then says, "See ya, I'm going to school!" He opens the door, gets in his little tikes car and pretends to drive to school. I love it, until he realizes that he is actually not going to school with dad.

DC Zoo with Grammy and Grandpa

Wow, where does the time go? We went to the DC Zoo in July with Jake's parents while they were here visiting. It was so much fun to have them!
Whit loved the Elephants, but I could not get him to look at me.
Whit and Taylor with Grammy and Grandpa!

We had a lot of fun with Grandpa and Grandma at the park. I am sure Whit loved Grandpa playing with him.

Uh..Where did the monkey come from?
This is one of my favorite things to watch Whit do because he spins so much and gets so dizzy! Grandpa even spun around with Whit.

Jamestown

Whit was pretending this was a car and driving it. He loved it and didn't want to get off.

It was so fun to have my mom come and visit. We went down to Jamestown, Whit loved these ships.

All about Tay :)

This is one of my favorite stages! Taylor has been so much fun lately. She has started to roll over from her tummy to her back, since she hates being on her tummy she had to figure out how to get out of it. She has also been holding her toes a lot lately too. She had her real first little giggle about a week ago... of course it was Whit that made her laugh, I couldn't no matter how hard I tried but it was so funny, Whit just kept pretending he was eating her legs or her feet. Now she has been doing it a lot more. I love it. She really loves to look at herself in the mirror too. Yesterday I was sitting on the couch (and we have a mirror above our couch) and I could not get her to stop crying so I held her up so she could see herself in the mirror and she immediately stopped and got this big grin on her face! When I brought her back down and she couldn't see herself anymore she started to cry again so I lifted her back up again and she smiled again! I repeated this over and over and everytime was the same thing but I didn't even mind that she was crying because the big grin on her face made up for it.

Fun Times

So this is my poor little boy! Notice the picture above... his perfectly rounded teeth, and then the picture below they are a little Jagged :( I was carrying Whit up the stairs to bed and my clumsy self tripped up the stairs and smashed his little teeth. I felt so bad! Atleast they will only be like that for a few years, Right?!
Anyway, on to the fun things...
We got to make a little vacation down to Virginia beach a couple of weeks ago and since it is a 2-3 hour drive we decided to spend the night in a hotel so we could have more beach time. The hotel wasn't too nice but it was right on the beach. We had a blast. It was so great to be able to have some good family time finally! And now that Jake only has clinic in the summer we have been able to spend a lot more time together. The kids and I really enjoy having Daddy home!

I love the look on her face right here! She loved the beach, mostly slept through it all.

Yeah, Swimsuit time!

I got this little pool out to fill up, but I guess they don't even need water. Pillows and blankets are just as good! Whit played in here for so long, but he really wanted Taylor and I to join him. So we all got to play in the pool in the nice air conditoned house. It was perfect!!

"Cute Kids"

These are two cute kids if you ask me!! I must be the Mom. Even though they are so cute it sure is hard to get a good smile out of them together. Maybe somewhere in all these shots their is a smile from them both. I can already tell they love each other so much. Whit is always bringing her toys and just wants to play with her all the time. And Taylor is always watching him. Her eyes are constantly following everywhere Whit goes... which is all over the place.

I still haven't really got her to laugh yet, maybe once. Hopefully Jake can help me get her to laugh a little more. She has started to roll over from her tummy to her back though, not everytime yet so it makes her so mad when she can't do it!

Like Father Like Son

Whit already loves to play golf like Daddy. He is pretty cute when he plays. I wish I could get a longer video, but every time I turn the camera on he just wants to look at the pictures.

Outer Banks Spring Break

We were able to go to Outer Banks, NC again for spring break. It was so much fun. I just love the beach even if it is to cold to get in the water. The weather was actually pretty nice. For the first half of the week it was in the 70's and sunny. Perfect for playing on the beach and digging in the sand, which is Jake and Whits favorite thing together. I think this is absolutely the cutesst smile I have ever seen Whit do! He must really love the Beach.

Whit had so much fun playing in this pond of water left from the tide, in the middle it went up to about his knees so he just kept running back and forth.
Yes... Even a few of us dared to run in/run out of the freezing cold water.
We also had a blast playing guitar hero "Rock Band" Jake did a great job singing!
And of course Whit had so much fun with all his friends for a whole week.
Taylor was such a trooper on the beach. I have this little travel bed that she just slept in most of the time.
