Taylor is so much fun. I really love her age right now. She is getting to be very active and so much fun to play with. July 20- Taylor rolls and scoots just about anywhere she wants to go. July 24 - Taylor is getting up on her hands and knees now and rocks back and forth.
August 8- Yay, Taylor can sit up. It makes her so happy to be able to sit. I love her pretty smile. August 19- Learning to crawl.
I think Whit is going to be excited when he is old enough to go to school. Probably because he sees Jake go to school everyday. It is so adorable. He packs his "packpack" (that's how he says it), puts it on, gives us all hugs and kisses and then says, "See ya, I'm going to school!" He opens the door, gets in his little tikes car and pretends to drive to school. I love it, until he realizes that he is actually not going to school with dad.
Wow, where does the time go? We went to the DC Zoo in July with Jake's parents while they were here visiting. It was so much fun to have them! Whit loved the Elephants, but I could not get him to look at me. Whit and Taylor with Grammy and Grandpa!
We had a lot of fun with Grandpa and Grandma at the park. I am sure Whit loved Grandpa playing with him. Uh..Where did the monkey come from?
This is one of my favorite things to watch Whit do because he spins so much and gets so dizzy! Grandpa even spun around with Whit.
Whit was pretending this was a car and driving it. He loved it and didn't want to get off. It was so fun to have my mom come and visit. We went down to Jamestown, Whit loved these ships.
This is one of my favorite stages! Taylor has been so much fun lately. She has started to roll over from her tummy to her back, since she hates being on her tummy she had to figure out how to get out of it. She has also been holding her toes a lot lately too. She had her real first little giggle about a week ago... of course it was Whit that made her laugh, I couldn't no matter how hard I tried but it was so funny, Whit just kept pretending he was eating her legs or her feet. Now she has been doing it a lot more. I love it. She really loves to look at herself in the mirror too. Yesterday I was sitting on the couch (and we have a mirror above our couch) and I could not get her to stop crying so I held her up so she could see herself in the mirror and she immediately stopped and got this big grin on her face! When I brought her back down and she couldn't see herself anymore she started to cry again so I lifted her back up again and she smiled again! I repeated this over and over and everytime was the same thing but I didn't even mind that she was crying because the big grin on her face made up for it.
So this is my poor little boy! Notice the picture above... his perfectly rounded teeth, and then the picture below they are a little Jagged :( I was carrying Whit up the stairs to bed and my clumsy self tripped up the stairs and smashed his little teeth. I felt so bad! Atleast they will only be like that for a few years, Right?! Anyway, on to the fun things... We got to make a little vacation down to Virginia beach a couple of weeks ago and since it is a 2-3 hour drive we decided to spend the night in a hotel so we could have more beach time. The hotel wasn't too nice but it was right on the beach. We had a blast. It was so great to be able to have some good family time finally! And now that Jake only has clinic in the summer we have been able to spend a lot more time together. The kids and I really enjoy having Daddy home! I love the look on her face right here! She loved the beach, mostly slept through it all. Yeah, Swimsuit time! I got this little pool out to fill up, but I guess they don't even need water. Pillows and blankets are just as good! Whit played in here for so long, but he really wanted Taylor and I to join him. So we all got to play in the pool in the nice air conditoned house. It was perfect!!
These are two cute kids if you ask me!! I must be the Mom. Even though they are so cute it sure is hard to get a good smile out of them together. Maybe somewhere in all these shots their is a smile from them both. I can already tell they love each other so much. Whit is always bringing her toys and just wants to play with her all the time. And Taylor is always watching him. Her eyes are constantly following everywhere Whit goes... which is all over the place. I still haven't really got her to laugh yet, maybe once. Hopefully Jake can help me get her to laugh a little more. She has started to roll over from her tummy to her back though, not everytime yet so it makes her so mad when she can't do it!
