How to wear bows...

This is what I found on fashionising.com...
{How to wear bows
Let me say it straight off. Bows may sound all harmless and innocent; but there are dangers with this trend. You could wind up looking like 80s Madonna, a collector of cheap kitsch, or unintentional Goth Lolita. The key here is not to skimp on the bow. They're only good in so far as they're unique and/or high quality. You're also making a statement so make it oversized, luxurious, and fun. Another way to wear it is with a headscarf tied up 1940's working girl style.}

We don't wear them quite like that around here but lately we have been loving bows (at least Taylor and I). Jake thinks they are a little big, just be thankful they're not bigger!
I got together with some friends and had a bow exchange. It is so much fun! We each make a bow and bring supplies for everyone else to make one too and we end up with 12 new bows and know how to make them!

Taylor loves her bows, and she looks so cute in them. But she has to pick out her own bow everyday, if it doesn't match I have to be a little sneaky:)

Halloween

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween. This year I thought it would be fun to paint our pumpkins instead of carving them. I had to paint Minnie Mouse for Taylor since she loves her and I'm sure you can figure out which one is Jake's (the pirate with braces!)

I wanted to dress Taylor up as a Fairy but she wouldn't put the costume on so I had to tell her she was Abby Cadabby from sesame street then she was excited!

Whit wanted to be batman so I made a cape and hood with bat ears, it didn't turn out quite what I was picturing but he loved it anyway.

We had a ward Halloween party & trunk or treat. The kids had fun wearing their costumes and seeing all their friends.

I took the kids to a pumpkin patch with some friends. They had fun picking out their big pumpkins, riding the tractor, climbing on the pumpkins, and I enjoyed watching them trying to find their way through the hay maze!

Their were a bunch of scarecrows and other funny/scary people throughout the pumpkin patch. Taylor was so interested and scared of them but I got her to give this one a hug. And Whit found this hat from one of them and had to put it on.
The pumpkins were almost as big as Taylor!

Whit's in Preschool

Whit started preschool this fall, how did he get to be so big!! He has been loving it, especially since he goes with two of his best friends. Whit loves when we car pool and the kids get to ride together, they sing and laugh the whole way there.

This boy will not smile for the camera, so this is what we get for his first day of school picture!

He gets a little better when he's with his friends, Samantha and Teegan.

Of course he is smiling now... He's holding Samantha's hand, aren't they cute?!

Summer Fun

We went to the park a lot this summer. Taylor's favorite thing at the park are the swings, she could swing the whole time we are there if I let her.

I let Whit bring his bike since the trails are flatter than our street and he loved it.

We spent most of our summer at the pool. It was so much fun especially when dad could come with us. Whit loved to jump off dad's hands and go flying into the water. Taylor mostly just wanted to chill on the stairs, get in and out, walk all around and of course dance to the music they had playing everyday. ( This is not what it looks like, she's actually shaking her booty!)

Most days their were a few friends but we loved the days that everyone was there:)

The kids also love to go to the mall and play, Whit was showing off his awesome moves.

Trip to Utah... part 3

We had a fun summer with BBQs, swimming, camping, going to Boondocks, and playing with cousins. I am so glad we made it home.

The boys had fun running around, playing baseball, wrestling in the grass (and making a mess of Grandma's tramp.. oops, sorry Grandma!)

Playing at Boondocks

Sunday afternoon was a lot of fun playing the piano and in the backyard.

Whit loved having a sleepover on the tramp. We had fun reading books, watching the clouds and airplanes go by, singing songs and listening to all the wonderful sounds outside. We didn't stay out all night, I decided to go put Whit to bed at 10 since he wasn't even close to falling asleep (I didn't really expect him to, he was way to excited) but it was fun anyway, Thanks Whit!

Trip to Utah...Part 2

When Whit was born we lived just a few blocks from the St. George Temple, and one of my favorite things to do was go for a jog around the temple. I loved it and Whit loved it! So while we were back visiting we had to take a walk and a couple bike rides to the temple. The kids "loved to see the Temple" and go sit on the steps.

We had lots of fun at the pool with Grandpa and Grammy!

And of course putting on all of Grammy's costumes. It was a little small for Whit but he didn't care, he thought he was Awesome! And Taylor loves everything girly:)

Trip to Utah...Part 1

It was so nice to be able to go to Utah and visit with our Family and friends finally. Before this summer it had been 2 years since we were able to make it back. Hopefully it won't be another 2 years before we make it back again!
While we were there we got to have a lot of fun. For the first two weeks Jake was there with us. We spent most of that time in St. George. We got to go camping up at Pine Valley, I have wanted to go up there since we've been married so I finally got a chance. It was a lot of fun. We went up with Grandpa, Grammy, Josh, Lauren, Berlyn, Dresden, Angie, Tye, and West (the dog). the kids had fun, even though they were fighting over the camp chairs. They got to play with Grandpa & Grammy. And they even went to bed pretty good. Whit loves camping, he can't wait to go again!

Taylor loved snuggling with Grammy by the fire.

The kids all had so much fun playing by the river and throwing rocks in for West to fetch.

Sharing a Room

Where do I begin... Wow, I really wish my kids didn't have to share a room!! It would make bed time & nap time so much easier, but unfortunately I don't have a choice. Most nights I try and put Taylor to bed about 45 mins before Whit but a lot of nights I don't want to wait that long. Sometimes I just put him to bed in my room, but then he wants me stay in here with him and then I don't get anything I need to do done. If Taylor isn't asleep by the time I take Whit in to bed then I have to just forget about them going to sleep. Usually we try to get Taylor to bed around 7:30 but if they stay up playing they won't get to bed for atleast 2 hours.
One night I went in to check on them and Whit was doing Cannon Balls into Taylor's crib! Luckily he didn't land on her, she was just sitting there laughing at him (of course, because she loves everything he does and she wants to do it too). They can't just lay in their own beds and talk. Whit will always take a bunch of toys and books and climb in Tay's crib and they read and play forever.
I get so frustrated over it, but when I go back and read this it helps me laugh about it a little.
Finally they give up and I am so happy when they are asleep.

King's Dominion

We got passes to King's Dominion and it has been so much fun to go all summer long. The kids love it.

Whit loved jumping the waves in the wave pool.
Taylor didn't like the waves very much unless she was being held, but she loved the water fountains. She would play in them the whole time.
Their was a fun splash park too that the kids loved, with this Giant bucket that filled up with water...Whit thought it was awesome to get dumped on!

The kids had tons of fun going on the rides. I didn't think Taylor would like them but she did. Whit loved it, especially when his friends came too.

Mom's Day Off

I got to take the day off and go with some friends to visit Montpelier and Monticello. We took a bus there together, we got to eat at Mitchie Tavern, walk the beautiful grounds and learn a little History. It was so much fun. Thanks for the great time Girls!

Easter again...

I can't believe I never finished putting these on, I am so slow!
The kids had so much fun finding Easter eggs Sunday morning. Then they got to do it again with the FHE lesson and the eggs filled with Scriptures and things to remember The Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Easter

For Easter we had a Picnic and Easter Egg Hunt for the kids with some friends and it turned out great. It was so much fun to get together and the kids loved it.

Whit loved finding the eggs, luckily he got to find Taylor's too!

Taylor had so much fun walking around outside. She gets so excited to go out to play. I love watching her walk. She is still a little wobbly sometimes but it is so adorable.
