1 month old

This first month has already gone by so fast. I am starting to feel better and Taylor just keeps getting cuter.
Oh ya, I don't comb Taylor's hair up like this either. She has Jake's beautiful cowlick and it sticks straight up like this totally naturally, but I love it.

Happy Birthday Whit!

I can't believe Whit is 2! He is starting to act like such a big boy.
He likes to copy everything I do lately. Every time I change Taylor's diaper he gets his bear or monkey and acts like he is changing its diaper. Whit says, "I'm changin' bear diaper" and he gets out the desitin too because it makes it "better".

Then he has me wrap up his monkey in his blanket so he can hold it when I hold Taylor. He is getting to be little better and softer with her.

I made a Monster Truck Birthday cake that Whit loved, mostly just eating it.


Whit was really excited to wake up in the morning and have a bunch of presents to open. I don't think he quite understands it was his birthday, but it was like Christmas all over again and he loved it.

I was trying to teach him to hold up two fingers and say "I'm Two" but instead he will old up all five fingers and say "I'm Two!" It is so cute when he does it, I guess I should get a video of him doing it.

Our Family of Four!

It was hard enough before to get a family picture, now I have two kids to try and get to smile and be happy. I guess this will do.


This is Taylor at two weeks old.


Whit is sure starting to love his baby sister. Whenever he can't see her, he wants to look for her. He still trys to pick her up and hold her, but when I let him hold her on the couch it only lasts about 30 secs. and then he is done.

He just can't leave her side though, he had to play with his toys right by her.

Taylor Kay

Here is our sweet Baby girl. She sleeps all day and most of the night, but she sure is fun to cuddle.
I think Whit likes her. He gets a little jealous that she gets to swing, I am not sure how he will ever give her his bed. He doesn't quite know what to do when she cries, he just kind of stands their and freaks out. But he always wants to pick her up and touch her face- we have to work on that one.

This was her first sponge bath at home. She just loved it, when I washed her legs and feet, and especially her hair.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

This has been a wonderful Holiday Season. Even though we didn't get to make it home to Utah to see family, it was still so busy. Jake had a great few weeks off from school. It was so much fun to have him around, and Whit loved to be able to play with him all day. And Yes we got to start the New Year with a New Little Bundle of Joy.

Whit was so excited on Christmas morning. I don't think he really knew what was going on, but was so happy when he came down the stairs and their were some new toys. Yeah! It was really funny, if you notice he has different PJs on in each picture, Whit got these Cars Pjs that he has on in the picture with the horse for Christmas and as soon as he opened them he had to take off his other ones and He wore his "Cars" all day.
We went to see the live Nativity at the Zoo a couple days before Christmas. It just so happened to be probably the coldest day we've had all winter so far. So we got all bundled up and enjoyed the Nativity. Whit liked the animals, but didn't move much because he was so cold.

Here She is, Our Beautiful Little Girl. TAYLOR KAY SPENDLOVE! With quite the Chubby Cheeks and a Full Head of Hair. She was born on January 1, 2009. Weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and 19.5 inches long. What a fun way to start the New Year.

Baby Bump...Or is that a Basketball!

This first picture I took a month ago, about 32 weeks. The second picture I took yesterday, about 36 weeks. It is amazing- my belly just keeps growing. I guess thats a good thing. I am wearing the same shirt in both of these pictures and you can tell how much tighter it is getting!


I feel like a I have been pregnant for a long time, but at the same time it has gone so fast. I am so anxious to see this little girl!

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving this year with some friends again. Richards parents live here and invited us over. I am so Thankful for the wonderful friends that we have.
I wanted to take some pictures for our Christmas card while we were here, but Jake wouldn't shave his mustache. He was doing a fundraiser at school, but I don't think he made any money. (Who makes money off a mustache?) Jake loves it anway, he would use any excuse to grow a mustache!
They have a couple horses, when we first got there Dickie brought out some apples to feed them. Whit really liked looking at the horses but he didn't dare to give them any apples.
After dinner we walked to the playground at a church across the street from their house and let the kids play.
And of course, we can't forget all the yummy food we stuffed ourselves with. It was delicious. I made my moms yummy rolls and some chicken noodle gravy that Jakes Grandma always makes for Thanksgiving (ever since the first time I had it, I can't have Thanksgiving without it).
